Football, Soccer or in short what's the best sport in the world is all about
We watch so many games each week, millions of fans around the world talk about it every day, social media is overwhelmed by soccer fans comments and World Cup is THE event every four years. Like it or not it's also becoming very popular in USA. So I decided to share my thoughts on the topic of soccer, EPL, UCL, MLS and other leagues and games which capture imaginations of so many and bring disappointments, drama but mostly lots of happiness and joy in our lives

Suarez... again? People, give it a break!
I have been a really bad supporter this year. When LFC started weak and lost games and end up in second part of the chart, I focused on other things that made me happy.. but second half of the year looked so much more promising- and my favorite player is up and running and even might get the title of the tops scorer of the league... But today I was motivated to write not because of that but due to the news that caught my attention of my dear Lusitio being involved in another yet scandal... which is not even a scandal but just put unnecessary pressure on my boy. So apparently, Suarez was in Uruguay and in the interview to local media he said he was open to Champion League Football. Reaction? English Media went nuts. Things are said about him, and how ungrateful he is and how he gets paid a lot and how when he signed the contract no one was promised Champion League football. As I listen to it, I am worried that someone will accidentally drop something like "why does not he go back to Uruguay where he belongs" or " that's what happens when we choose international players over English ones". Seriously, when will people drop this nationalistic and childish accusations. I admire Suarez, I want him to stay with reds, and I do know that it will be just fair if he gives another year to see if REDS can make it happen. But if he chooses to leave, I will understand.. Life goes by fast. Life of an athlete even faster than that. You never know what happens next, you don't know if you are going to have another season and if you want to make the best out of your career and in football it's Champions League is big part of it- then who are the judges? My sister always reminds me that this is a team we worship or club we live up to but for Suarez, Rooney, Persie it is a job- the way they know how to make money and go down in history books. So before we pass judgements and get all worked up about loyalty and club and history- we should stop and think.... Reds are reds not because of one player but the history of the club- with or with him, if Liverpool can make it- they will make it. And Suarez is not Suarez because of Liverpool, but because he is a remarkable athlete and can make a difference in any team. Whatever the decision is, the true fans of Reds will still proudly sing YNWA and true supporters of Luis will follow him to a new club. End of story!

Long awaited victory
I just wanted to take a minute and celebrate our long awaited victory- finally Liverpool does something this season, it was becoming a dreadful one with nothing but draws and losses. And my love gets on a score sheet twice- that's the way to do it and in addition just when I said last week that the only worthy buys were Suarez and Enrique both of them get on the score sheet just like I wanted- also they both happen to be on my fantasy team and with clean sheet it is a big win for my team. Some surprising results from Chelsea and Manchester United who both registered losses, Arsenal played another game where everyone scored, Arsenal showed they attack and ability to score is as always up to maximum capacity and they do fabulous job when it comes to scoring, but also they showed their sucky defense- once again, they let three goals past. I start thinking either Wenger needs to buy more defenders, or get a coach whose goal will be only to train defense how to defend. Argentinians had a big day with four goals in total for Manchester City- well done, once again- very well done. But the week is not over- so we watch on and see how it unfolds.

Being Liverpool- my way
Being a pretty crappy fan, it makes harder to judge and write about my team. But I figured there are so many fans just like me who have not learned yet to support the team with passion not only when they are up and doing well but when they are down and trying to get better. And besides, this is not a grilling post, just thoughts on the season so far and general mood.
On Sunday, I was pretty ooccupied with helping to clean up mess at SI and Coney Island after frankenstorm Sandy that left shores of our beloved city destroyed and thousands of people without homes- people who already belonged to the poorest of communities. So I could not watch the match against Chelsea. But then again, to be honest I was not able to watch any of the games this season. Since King was sacked, I could not find strenghs or inspiration to do that- honestly. He had his ways- but mostly he knew how to win- and he brought us back to Europe and he won the big matches. The club should have given him more time to help the team grow. Kenny had his minuses too (and this is strictly my opinion), for example buying English players for too much money who were absolutely useless. On the other hand there were Surarez and Enrique- both excellent and in the right place. With the new manager- the vicious cycle continues. He is looking for new players, he is helping the team to learn his style of playing and when all finally adjust and start doing it- the season will be over and who knows.... if there was one thing we have learned from history is that consistency is VERY important in soccer: Sir Ferguson, Mancini etc....
But for now, we have to just patiently wait and look with hope towards the transfer window and see if there is more in stock for our great club. Watch couple games, support the mission and hope that soon again we will be produly marching through the streets for one of the greatest football clubs in history- EVER. You Never Walk Alone!

Manchester teams are celebrating, Londoners not so much
Another curious week in EPL. I can of course speak for a long time about Liverpool vs Bolton game, but than again- there is not so much to say. We did not do it. And most importantly it only looked for 10 minutes as if we could. Kenny was disappointed with his player, I guess the Kop was disappointed with Kenny? I don't know but I still think that a lot depends on the coach. At the end it is his game plan and he is the one calling the starting line up. People criticized a lot Carroll being in the starting line up, but he actually did not do bad, he did well. He did not score but who but Bellamy even got close? We had no midfield- and it has nothing to do with clumsy Andy. Our only hope is Chelsea and Arsenal continuing their mistakes but how many one team can hope for? Because every time London sides show weakness, we drop or draw and can't pick up points to make it into top four. Too much pressure on the club and the manager. But then again, someone has to be the 7th? Don't think that I am giving up on my team, or think that we cannot make it - but I think that something is psychology of the club must change. Something which will bring the glory. But for now, like my Tango teacher often says, "more of the same".
Manchester City looked vulnerable against the Spurs and I think if the referee was not so obviously helping blues out, we might have seen a bog surprise. The penalty was a penalty, but the person who caused it should have been sent off long ago. They got away with two challenges and then the dices fell their way.
Manchester City vs Arsenal- hold off well, did not fell low and hard as at the start of the season but Arsen will get a lot of heat for the calls he made and needless to say that manager so blind to his weak defense, will have a lot to answer for.
Here are my predictions for line up of top 4: Manchester City; Manchester United; Tottenham and Newcastle.
End of story for now

No blogging period
Just noticed that I have not been writing much in this blog recently. No excuses, there was a lot going on- I will add some of my thoughts on December- January at the end of the week- that's a promise. There is a lot to say, but I guess us dropping to the seventh spot is a little demotivating- when it comes to writing about it. If I have to bet on title winners- I go for Tottenham. And have to agree with my friend Ian that chances of us reds making to top 4 are very weak. I just don't see Chelsea, Arsenal and even Newcastle dropping enough points for us to go to the 4th place. And we need all three of them do really worse. Tough path for LFC- again!

Curling Cup Semi-Finals
As Manchester City beats Liverpool 3:0, lots of thoughts cross my mind. There are two games left against City in Curling Cup Semi-Finals and more than ever we want to finish on top. We played strong against city- but can we put them behind? Question lots of fans might be asking in January. And here what I think, we need to give it a good go- when we played against them this week- we looked like a strong team- the game ended against us and I am not looking for excuses but we did not deserve to loose to to loose with that score. I hope out players don't suffer from City Hype like many seem to do this season. This is when good strong players just start loosing when faced with city- because media already gave them victory and sadly some fans already think it's a done deal.
Liverpool can and will beat them next game. Let's seat back and enjoy the game. I realize that after loud statements, it will be hard if the team does not deliver but I believe in our lads and the Kop to make it happen. All we need is 1:0. So here we go, that's my prediction.

Pounded
So I wanted to find couple minutes the other day to blog about our beautiful win at Anfield and breaking the curse but I did not find time and today I got to writing except the today there are two other important events I just can't ignore. One of them is game again Man City away which we somehow lost 3:0. Somehow, because when you look at replay we did not do that bad, however we didn't do great either- City has Hart and we've gotta go around him somehow. Also, the choice of players. Kenny is playing Carroll- Carroll is not delivering and this is hurting us. I think Maxi has proven himself, Kuyt did well and I think those lads should get opportunity to play. Also, if he is looking for a couple to hook up in front then Kuyt- Bellamy is so much more impressive then any combination which includes Carroll. We have two more games left against city- we've gotta do better then this.
Second news is that Luis and Liverpool have decided not to appeal decision of FA regarding 8 game ban. This incident is becoming ridiculous. I am not going to bring any more arguments but say what I commented on LFC NY page: "Some of my friends who are LFC supporters also thought Suarez should have not said that. I have to agree with Nigel that the argument was not whether or not Suarez was a racist but that he said racially abusive word. Suarez agreed he said that. I don't think though his intend was to "abuse Evra", Suarez used the word because between Hispanics it's a common word to use- and it is NOT offensive. Even though I think Suarez should have known better, the FA punishment is very harsh and unfair- because it is ridiculous to make a showcase of Suarez when no one learns anything from this except that FA continue being bunch of douchebags. With Blatter clearly being a racist and saying many inappropriate things about racism, women in soccer and homosexuals- this attack UNFAIR on Suarez just makes FIFA, FA and the likes look really bad. Iniesta - who abused Marcello on camera- get's away with slap on the wrist, when someone who clearly is not a racist or did not mean to say anything racist is being harshly punished. Evra was really under-performing at that game and because he could not do anything and felt frustrated he just took it out on Luis. Evra though did racially ABUSE Suarez and admitted this on the record. Even if Luis did not hear it, it's on the record- Evra should get the ban for 8 games and pay a fine. We do want to be fair right? FA is such a fucking joke". Football justice-end of story. Until we get dictators out of FIFA and UEFA and FA- not much will change here.
So overall, a great win followed by a lousy day......
